North American Sacred Camel Ceremony

The Fear-No-More Project

Honoring the Sacred in All Life

From California’s Sacred Camel Gardens to the Green Chimneys School in New York. Two camels traveling 3000 miles in honor of the Sacred in All Life.

On Monday, May 7, 2012 we pull out of the Sacred Camel Gardens with Sage and Phoenix on board. Ahead of us is a 7 day journey across the continent. Each evening we’ll pull into prearranged overnight pastures where the camels can stretch their legs and rest up before the next day’s travel. At each stop we’re happy to meet with local kids, interested people, local press. We also hope to connect with Native American representatives along the way to receive their traditional blessings for this sacred ceremony.

Help promote the “North American Sacred Camel Ceremony.

Spread the word!

Regular updates and information on the trip, and our preparations, will be posted here as things unfold. If you live out along Interstate 80, come meet us, and the camels, at one of our half dozen stops along the way! (Route info will be given in the next post.)

This isn’t just about camels. It’s about all of us; fostering a shift in some of the fundamental ways we view and relate to all non-humans.

Sage and Phoenix are being formally, “sacredly gifted”, not sold. (Please peruse our website for more info on this.)

And of course, to do this we need a reliable truck and trailer!

Buying the Trailer and getting it set up is the current priority.

Cost will be around $12,000.

The mocked-up image above gives a visual of how we’ll prepare the trailer for the trip.

It has to be tall enough for camels and wide enough, good quality and safe. This trailer will be used again and again for these kinds of trips, including locally in Northern California, for taking camels out to various events and functions throughout the region, and to the beach!.

Please Help Buy the Camels a Trailer ! !

Contribute via one of these two methods:

1. online: Donate for Camel Trailer (scroll down for trailer donation button)

2. send checks to Sacred Camels, 12040 Seigler Springs Road, Middletown, CA 95461 (make checks payable to Fear-No-More of Adidam & earmark “camel trailer”)

A brass plaque will go inside the trailer with contributors’ names inscribed ~ so you can travel with us…!

“Two camels stand quietly under tall trees.”        “What happens when a camel looks into your eyes?”

“Sitting with camels is helpful to know the heart.”                              “Do you know what a camel is?”
“What is a camel?”                  “When you look at a camel who are you?” **
