About Us

Sage and mum (camels)In that process of sensitizing yourself to non-humans and placing no barriers between yourself and them, you have to go beyond your previous mind about non-humans as sort of non-beings. And non-humans include the weather and soil and everything else too.
- Adi Da Samraj

In response to the increasingly challenging effects of humanity upon the natural world, on November 4, 1974, Avatar Adi Da Samraj initiated a new and fresh, sacred human approach to the non-human world. “Fear-No-More Zoo” is the name He soon after gave to this process. Under His guidance Fear-No-More Zoo gradually evolved into today’s “Sacred Camel Gardens of Da Fear-No-More”.

Through the always evolving communication of Da Fear-No-More Adi Da’s intention is single.

I am here to sensitize you to what all other beings experience, what other forms experience, even though they may not even appear to be conscious.

You think there is no consciousness in these so-called objects. There is nothing but Consciousness Itself.
- Adi Da Samraj, November 26, 1984

The Sacred Camel Gardens is home to a beautiful herd of Bactrian camels, and rescued horses, who wander the spacious pastures and woodlands. Adi Da Samraj asks that your visit here (and to anywhere on the Earth) be undertaken with sensitivity and respect, mindful of the spiritual disposition of all non-humans and, by association, to likewise come to rest in the Natural state of spiritual communion.

The principles upon which Da Fear-No-More is founded (and to which we aspire):

  1. Live in direct relationship to the One Divine Being within Whom everything arises.
  2. Acknowledge the spiritual nature of all beings, in both human and non-human form.
  3. Serve and support the regeneration of authentic human spiritual culture.
  4. Give proper care to all beings, practically, relationally, culturally and spiritually.
  5. Support, serve and encourage the Spiritual Happiness and Ultimate Freedom of all living beings, natural processes and places everywhere.

Non-humans exhibit a kind of natural predisposition to contemplate, to feel beyond, even beyond waking, dreaming and sleeping to a depth domain. They do this freely, voluntarily. They enter into this pleasurable, deep swoon into the Divine Source-Domain.
- Adi Da Samraj, 1996
