Prasad is a Sanskrit term meaning gifts that have been offered to the Divine, and having
been blessed, are returned as Divine gifts to devotees or aspirants. In a guru-devotee, or teacher-student, relationship, prasad is anything a devotee receives from his or her guru.
In the talk On the Other Side of the Purr, Adi Da Samraj uses the term prasad in a looser sense to describe the nectars and chemical secretions that the queen bee gives to the other bees in the hive.
