Samadhi (glossary)

Nityananda liked samadhi

Bhagawan Nityananda (189?-1961) was a Hindu who enjoyed frequent samadhi.

Samadhi is a Sanskrit word that denotes various exalted states that appear in the context of esoteric meditation and realization.

Perhaps animals and other non-humans also exist in a kind of samadhi?

Non-humans exhibit a kind of natural predisposition to contemplate, to feel beyond, even beyond waking, dreaming and sleeping to a depth domain. They do this freely, voluntarily. They enter into this pleasurable, deep swoon into the Divine Source-Domain.
